Birth Doula Support

When you hire Allison as your Birth Doula through Family Doulas of Ottawa, you can expect:

• Two prenatal visits to your home; the first is a get-to-know-you visit where we will discuss expectations and the second is to practice comfort measures and go over any questions you have

• Evidence-based information and local resources available to you so you can make the choices you want for your birthing experience

• On-call 24/7 for two weeks (14 days) before and two weeks (14 days) after your due date

• Unlimited email, phone and video support from the moment you sign a contract

• Continuous physical, emotional and informational support throughout your labour and birth

• Up to 2 hours of initial postpartum support once your baby (or babies!) arrives

• One postpartum visit to debrief your birthing experience and assist with any infant care needs

  • Additional postpartum support is available to you - see Postpartum Doula Services 

• Phone, email and video postpartum support for 6 weeks to meet your specific needs
